Names and citations too

Type a case name, a neutral or SCR citation, or a quotation you want to find.

Questions

Can I search by a case name or citation?

Yes. Type a name like K.A. Najeeb, or a citation like 2021 INSC 50 or [2021] 1 SCR 443.

Why are some passages labelled?

So you can tell the Court's reasoning apart from a reporter's headnote, counsel's argument or a quoted extract before you rely on it.

Can I limit a search to one High Court?

Yes. Choose a court and a range of years, or leave it on all courts.

Are SCC and AIR citations searchable?

They are private reporters, so they can't be looked up by number. Search by the case name, or by its SCR or neutral citation.
